TONYMOLY Magic Food Banana Cream Foam Cleanser

Today I’ll tell you about my impressions after using TONYMOLY cleansing foam with banana extract.

I bought this product in January with the aim to change my gel cleanser to something new, effective, and also cheaper. Before this foam, I used a cleansing gel-cream EFFACLAR H from La Roche-Posay. Yes, this is the pharmaceutical cosmetics company, but I decided to my own risk to try something not from the pharmacy.

I heard a long time ago about korean cosmetics. There’s a huge number of opinions about other facial TONYMOLY cleansers, most of them are positive.

By happy coincidence, in our biggest shop of cosmetics and perfumes in the city just appeared stand with cosmetics from Korea and Japan. I was delighted that some products (of course, not all) from TONYMOLY is there. I decided to analyze reviews about various foams and gels from this brand and settled on this foam cleanser with banana extract.

How to use
Make enough bubble with proper amount of product during cleansing, and cleanse the face with mild massage. Then wash the face with lukewarm water.

My impressions:

Price: 850 RUB - completely normal, especially this foam is enough for me for a long time.

Appearance/Packaging: looks very colorful, bright and catchy. It is immediately obvious among the rest of the products on the shelf. In principle, all the Korean cosmetics looks very cute and unusual.

Back packing has a korean text, ingredients and a small description in English. Since I bought the foam in Russia for our convenience they glued label with description on russian language.

  

I wrote ingredients and tested them on ecological properties:

glycerin, water, myristic acid, stearic acid, potassium hydroxide, cocamido propyl betaine, lauric acid, peg-32, cocamide dea, peg-100 stearate, sodium methyl cocoyl taurate, musa sapientum (banana) fruit extract, lauryl betaine, lauramide dea, honey extract, tocopheryl acetate, potassium cocoyl glycinate, peg-40 stearate, glyceryl stearate, peg-40 hydrogenated castor oil pca isostearate, polyquaternium-7, hydroxyethylcellulose, phenoxyethanol, chlorphenesin, trisodium edta, cl 19140, cl 15985, fragrance

Analyzing all these threat components, we can conclude that this is not a perfect cleanser, because almost all 9 of hazardous substances causing an allergic reaction, and some are simply toxic. Even on the package back says “Discontinue use if signs of irritation and/or rash appear.” But, anyway, I’ve been using this foam for 8 months and haven’t found rashes.

If we gonna squeeze the product, we’ll see a consistency similar to cream, white with a slight yellowish tinge.

I use this foam as it should be morning and evening. I squeezed a small amount on left hand around the size of 1 cm, and then rubbed and formed a white foam.

The foam really smells like banana, but rather the banana flavor - you know, that smell can be found in chewing gum with banana flavor, and there are some chewy candies (jelly-like) with a taste of banana. Real bananas don’t smell so sugary and a little bit different. Now, probably, I will disappoint many who think that the banana smell is felt during the entire process of washing your face, but it’s not. The banana smell is felt only when we rub it in the palms and massage cheeks (at the beginning), then the flavor is lost, and in place of the banana flavor comes the scent of children’s soap. Here’s such a surprise.

I really like this cream-foam cleanser and recommend it.

• it’s very gently cleanses the skin without leaving a nasty cover on the face and not tightens the skin;
• exfoliates dead skin cells and easily removes sebum;
• foam cleans pores, but not so deep as I would like;
• after washing, it’s felt that the skin squeaks, but in fact there is no dryness and tightness. This is a huge plus. After washing I use a moisturizer;
• also I noticed that it decreased the number of inflamed pimples;
• the consumption of the product is very economical as for a full wash takes only 1 cm to make enough good foam for your face.
